Franco-American Collection Facts

Mission:
The mission of the Collection is to develop and promote interest in and study of Franco-American culture and history on the part of the University community, academic community, and the community at large

Collections:
The Franco-American Collection contains material on politics, religion, language, education, industry and business, theater and music, genealogy, Lewiston-Auburn history, and civic leaders. There is also material on sociological aspects of Franco-American culture relating on a state-wide and regional level covering ethnicity, community demographics, work and labor issues, and French newspapers.

Facilities:
The Franco-American Collection is located on the Lewiston College campus of the University of Southern Maine. More specifically, the Collection is housed in room 153 of the campus. The Lewiston College campus is at 51 Westminster Street.

Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday-Sunday: closed
